What if I don’t get the book(s) I ordered?
NOTICE OF SHORTAGE OR NONRECEIPT must be reported to us within 30 days of the shipping/invoice date.
What if the book arrives damaged?
BOOKS DAMAGED in transit are not the responsibility of Looking Beyond Publishing and claim should be made to the carrier.
How do I return a book?
ORIGINAL PACKING SLIP should accompany your return listing the invoice number, invoice date, title, and quantity. Books will be credited with 100% of the invoice price minus the shipping. If this information is not included, it will be assumed that the original discount was 60%. Ship books prepaid by parcel post (book rate) or by UPS.
Where do I return a book?
BOOKS SHOULD BE RETURNED to their original source. If books were directly purchased from the publisher, please ship books to be returned and invoice to Looking Beyond Publishing, P.O. Box 2193, La Grange, IL 60525. With problems, contact us.
Is packaging the return book important?
RETURNED BOOKS MUST BE PACKAGED WELL and arrive in good, resalable condition. Books with writing and those torn, scuffed, or bent will be refused. Books that arrive in oversized Jiffy bags will be refused. Please package books in the same way they were sent to you. If you don’t package them properly, it might not be wise to waste your time returning them.
How do I get credit for returns?
A CREDIT MEMO toward future purchases will be issued.
Postage and packaging is expensive these days. Is there a more economical way?
TRYING MARKING DOWN THE BOOK. Corresponding, packaging, and postage may cost more in returning a book than simply marking down the book and moving it off the shelf. Many bookstores are finding this a more cost effective approach, and it may be worth considering.
